.... wandering slowly in the great expanse praying for rescue. Mentally, physically, spiritually broken. Once we get to this point it is critical what we do next. Giving in to the corruption that has settled into us will undoubtedly destroy us. Leaving that desert even dustier.

Song of the Day: Phoenix
I love Phoenix! The actual song of the day is the middle one called long distance call. I just gave you some extras to get the feel. They are a great sounding band and they are very lively when they perform. I know when you watch these videos you'll probably think that these guys are really weird, that okay. I think they are a little strange too. But they are fantastic at what they do, no matter how it gets done.

Sadie, Sadie how you nag me....
Oh my dear Sadie how I love you so.
I love the way you perk up when you see me come through the door. I love the face you make when you yawn and the skip in you step. I love how big your eyes are and how you seem to stare into my soul when you look at me but Sadie, Sadie how you nag me....
Every day I here the scratching on my door begging for me to bring you in. Whimpering as my father enters the room and you stand there hopelessly afraid. Begging for snacks and pleading for just one piece of ham. During the summer you are afraid of the fireworks, which I don't blame you for, but when the fear causes you to crawl under my bed as I'm trying to sleep I can't stand it!
Sadie I don't think I handle having such a one sided relationship! I need a break some sort of relief from this horribly parasitic relationship.....
but at the same time I'm torn, I love the way you lick my face and the way you occasionally take naps with me! Most of all I love the way only one of your ears stands up while the other is crooked. I can't give up on you! Not now after so long! Nine years. They've been amazing. Sadie I still Love you!

Song of the Day: David Bowie
David Bowie is the man. His songs as different or weird as they may seem, they have remarkable lyrics that are so absolutely original that they make his songs in entirety, his songs. And although this is a really ridiculous music video, the music is more than powerful enough for it to be worthwhile to watch. David Bowie's a Hero even if it's just for today!

Song of the Day: The Head And The Heart
So I originally found this band at a concert. I went to see Iron and Wine and they were the opener. They were so good. Their music has such a special feel and the lyrics seem to have a really special meaning to me.

Song of the Day: Foo Fighters
This band has to be one of my favorites. Definitely. It's interesting to think that the first music post that I put up is on the Foo Fighters. But I think this song makes it so much more reasonable. They are an amazing band that does understand what music is about and I appreciate that so much in an artist.
Eighteen years of......
Well birthday, you came and went like an old friend that I see all the time. I can't say I was dying to see you but I'm glad you came. Since I won't see you for roughly another year I figured I'd make you a reminder of all the awesome things I done through out the years that I guess I partially have to give you credit for. I mean if you didn't come, I'd still be giggling and drooling and making messies in my diaper. So for that great and noble service I'll take you through the experiences of my life. Well first off I gotta say that my batman pajamas were the best. I can believe I ever took them off. I was so freaking cool when I wore those! Oh and my choo choo train glasses in kindergarden, they were the bomb! They totally set me up for the ladies!
Well I guess next on the list would have to be elementary school. Thank you age (and I guess evolution) for letting me be fairly intelligent for my age. I was smart, still am, but back then I was certainly treated different for it. Life certainly wouldn't have been the same without the torture of seclusion.
Now that that's out of the way, middle school. Oh man was being an ELPer the best! I finally fit in somewhere! I had dorky friends to spare! Spencer if you ever read this, I was thinking of you when I typed dorky.
After those times as a dork I moved into the first part of my high school experience. I had the strange and outrageous Idea to join the wrestling team, where I learned that the hips are the key to a persons weight distribution! (mwahahahahaha).
Now within my sophomore through senior years at high school my world tended to focus on girls but how lame would it be if I just focused on them? So I'll keep talking about my life.
As a freshman and a sophomore I was cursed with the ability to not be able to find that group that was accepting of me as well as they would do the things that I was okay with. So needless to say I did a lot of group hoping, you could call it. I kept trying to find a place to belong. By the end of my sophomore year I was introduced into a group who would sit in the schools seminary building during lunch and would spend most of their time there. After a while I became pretty good friends with everyone in the group with a few problematic cases. Now while I was in Seminary me and my friend Andrew met these two girls named Kalli and Tiffany. They were part of a different group who tended to be at seminary build pretty often. But because of past offenses our group was appalled at the thought of letting them into our group. So as you can imagine some pretty awkward instances happened because of this. By the time that summer was approuching me and Andrew had become excellent friends with Kalli and Tiffany and we chose that they would be in our group no matter what. They joined and soon many of their sophomore friends joined as well.
Finally as a senior being king of the school I tended to be pretty relaxed about classes and I got to know a lot of people and I have tons of friends now. Obviously none of them know about this blog but oh well.
I'm Graduated I have eight weeks of summer left until I'll be going to community college, so I'll have plenty of time for friends and working.
Anyway, birthday, there you go. That is my life. I know I've truly failed at letting you know this until now but I figured I'd wait for a bigger story to come a long.
