Song of the Day: Louis Armstrong "As Time Goes By"

This is a tribute to the classic Louis Armstrong, singing the classic "As Time Goes By." I think that this song goes perfectly with the person singing it. His voice is timeless and rich and it lets the words flow. As always if you love Louis or the song that he sings post a comment either here or on facebook and give this a thumbs up! Laura I Absolutely love songs that make me want to cry! For instance right now I'm listening to beach baby by bon iver and I just feel drowned in emotion!

My Dusty Desert

Every dune seems to climb higher and higher. The sun gets brighter and brighter. The sand gets hotter and hotter. I stumble down the pillar of sand to find that I would just fall to the ground anyway. As time passes and my nap ends I hear the song. I hear the beautiful sound that breaks my heart and expands my soul and causes my mouth to fall open. It's no where near me but I can hear it. That's what matters. I climb to my feet. First a crawl then a walk then a run. By the end I am frolicking up and down the wave sand mountains towards the beautiful music only to find nothing. The fleeting song tries to leave my mind but jam my finger in my ear to keep it in. Sure I found my way to an oasis. To shelter and eventually out of the desert, but that song, that wonderful song is still in that desert asking for an ear to hear it cry out in sweet melodic joy.
